Hmm, well I guess I can tell you my hobbies. I love to read, write, draw(duh), and hanging out with my friends and boyfriend.
If anyone's interested in reading any of my fanfiction, as me and I'll send you a link.
Some of you may have notice the change in icon, latest deviation entry, and latest scrap load. No, this is not my latest craze... this is the craze I've had for my whole life!
I love Disney, pure and simple. I've loved that damn concept for as long as I can remember. One of the thoughts that stands out the most in my head from the time I was a child and up until now is, 'what's the next Disney movie going to be?' I've always anticipated the new movies and occasionally the new Tv shows. It's a part of my life that has always stayed constant, whether I liked what was released or not.
Of course, like I mentioned, I don't like all of it. I prefer the classic 2D animated works over the new 3D ones, though a few of them have impressed me, like Finding Nemo and Wall-E, but over all I prefer the old style animated films. A very large portion of the movies reside in my living room bookshelf, most of which are VHS, but we have replaced a few with the recently released DVDs. And, I may as well just say it, some of the stuff makes me cry, most current example, I watched Fantasmic on YouTube yesterday and was teary-eyed through the whole thing. If you've never seen Fantasmic, it's an incredible show done at Disneyland over Tom Sawyer's Island /Pirate's Cove. It uses sprayed water mist to project images for the views. It's one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. Disney fans, especially those that love the old stuff, will love this. Here, watch it and see for youself--> &feature=related It's in three parts, the other two you can find in the side bar on the right.
Aside from that, since Disney has been such a big part of my life, my dream job would be to work for Disney as a 2D animator. Emphasis on the 'dream' part, since their 2D animation is rapidly being taken over by 3D work. It really saddens me, since it was that 2D stuff that got them really famous. I mean come on, it was friggin' Mickey Mouse that got them so famous, and he didn't go 3D until a couple of years ago with Kingdom Hearts (which I do utterly love, come on it's all of Disney's characters tossed in to one big thing).
Ok, no time to go on rant. Basically I just wanted to let you guys know what's up. Ever since I embraced this enjoyment and started working on this stuff, I've been very happy. I look forward to the next day, I look forward to school, I look forward to life.
So a quick word of advice, if you love something, and it doesn't harm anyone or anything around you, embrace it. Don't push it away or forget about it. I have never been so happy with my life up until now, and i look forward to starting at the Academy of Art next semester, it takes me one step closer to trying to reach my dream.
Embrace what makes you happy, it will make your life very worthwhile.
